Wentworth was originally built as a 12-room hostel with a three room flat on the top floor for one of the resident tutors. In the mid 1980s the flat was made available to the Students Union Welfare Officer so they could be on campus and so be more accessible. In later years it was converted into three more student bedrooms, hence the slightly unusual layout.
[It’s named after the Wentworth family name.]
