Saturday the 11th May 2013
Booking is now taking place on the Sculpture Park website for the reunion 2013.
Rushbond plc has offered to present an update on the hotel development to the alumni on the afternoon of 11 May 2013.
Following requests made by a number of alumni we are also exploring the possibility of Wakefield Council opening up the accommodation blocks following the presentation by Rushbond for people to go inside. This will be the last opportunity to visit the accommodation blocks and the Council has asked that I gather expressions of interest. I can confirm that it will not be possible to go into the Hall itself.
To express your interest in this event please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org confirming which accommodation block you would like to visit by 8 April 2013.
This will be a free event and you do not have to be attending the formal reunion on the evening of 11 May to attend. Places at the evening meal are still available and can be booked via the YSP website.
Please note that we are looking for expressions of interest only at this stage and will confirm if the event is taking place later in April.
This years main event will be again based around the Sculpture Park at Bretton, and the Friday night ‘session’ at the Black Bull in Midgley
The main evening event at the Sculpture Park Restaurant will be for £30 a head, as last year. This will cover the buffet, drink on arrival and the room hire.
The Bretton reunion booking and payment system in now active at the Sculpture Park for this years event.
This is a secure web based payment system and is for the full amount of £30
This is a huge improvement, and takes the responsibility away from me to gather in and chase up monies.
If you don’t wish to pay in this manner, then it is possible also to book by phone.
All the details are outlined on the page and it is fairly easy to follow the payment procedure.
If you haven’t used the Park’s system before, then you need to register a user name and password.
Warning! There is a box on the payments page to allow an extra payment to be made as a donation. Please be aware and deal with the donation as you wish.
I have persuaded Melvyn at the Midgley Lodge to give a 5% discount to those attending if you mention my name. It’s not much, but every little helps!
We only need 30 people attending for the event to go ahead, but I have had extremely good feedback about attendance, so expect many more than last year.
Please book early, as it gives us chance to discuss entertainment etc.
Look forward to seeing you all again and get on with the booking!
