2015 Reunion

Report of Reunion on 9th May

The 2015 Reunion took place on May 9th and was again based around the Sculpture Park,  with afternoon activities.  The customary evening meal took place in the Sculpture Park Restaurant.  During the previous evening, many alumni met at the Black Bull at Midgley.

This year, we came close to the capacity in the Restaurant.   It was good to see groups of alumni from a number of time periods, making this a really broad-ranging reunion where no individual would feel left out or alone.

Afternoon Activity

Hayloft  Studio,  Kennel Block

During the afternoon of Saturday, 9th May, a number of alumni availed themselves of the opportunity to visit the Hayloft Studio in Kennel Block to have their own vintage photographs of Bretton days copied for inclusion on this website.  Alan Parker and Tony Rigby were kept busy throughout the afternoon, scanning and copying images and slides, and transferring files from memory sticks.

The images shown below are copies of some of those scanned during the afternoon.  Most have been inserted in relevant pages in the Archive of this website.   (See the section on 'Students' ,  and  various sub-sections  -  including the one labelled:  'Then and Now '.)

Evening Meal

The images below were taken at the evening meal in the Sculpture Park Restaurant.  The tables were all named after Hostels and parts of the Mansion.  The place setting list is before each group around the table, so as to give you an idea who they all are.  Four or five different age groups are being represented, and its not that we are all getting older at different rates.   Enjoy spotting your friends from the past.
